DAY 01 : BANGALORE

Arrival at Bangalore and visiting Lal Bagh,Cubbon Park, Bull Temple,Vidhan Soudha and M.G.Road.Evening at leisure. Lalbagh has a variety of Old trees, fountains, Lotus Pools, Terraces and assortment of Tropical Herbs and Sub Tropical Herbs. Bull Temple is dedicated to Nandi Bull, the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva. The temple has been built in the Dravidian style of architecture.

DAY 02 : MYSORE

After breakfast drive to Mysore enroute visiting Srirangapatna, Srirangapatnam this island fortress of the legendary warrior Tippu Sultan is 16 km from Mysore city. Inside the fortress is Tipu's mosque with its twin minarets, the celebrated Ranganatha Swamy temple, the Wellesley Bridge and the dungeons where British officers were once imprisoned. Mysore was erstwhile capital of the Wodeyars the rulers of Mysore. Mysore’s charm is unique. Overnight stay at Mysore.

DAY 03 : MYSORE

Morning an excursion to Somnathpur the Chenna Kesava Temple situated in the village of Somnathpur the exquisitely carved, star-shaped temple with triple towers is a typical example of Hoysala architecture.

DAY 04 : MYSORE - BELUR AND HALEBID

After breakfast proceed to Halebid & Belur via the town of Hassan enroute visiting Shravanbelgola.Overnight stay at Hassan. Shravanbelgola a prominent Jain pilgrimage centre in Hassan district, is home to Asia's largest monolithic statue. Belur is famous for its ancient exquisite temples. The Veeranarayan Temple and the smaller shrines are well worth a visit. Overnight stay at Halebid.

 

DAY 05 : HASSAN – HOSPET

After breakfast to drive Hospet, which will be the base from where you will visit the Vijanagara City (Hampi) ruins near the village of Hampi. Overnight stay at Hospet.

DAY 06 : HAMPI

A full day tour of the Hampi ruins. The most famous is the Kings Balance where kings were weighed against gold or money and which was then distributed to the poor. Temples of this city are noted for their dimensions, florid ornamation, bold and delicate carvings, stately pillars, magnificient pavilions and a great wealth of iconographic and traditional depictions which include subjects from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Pampapati temple is one of the largest temples at Hampi.

DAY 07 : HOSPET – AIHOLE – PATTADAKAL - BADAMI

After breakfast drive to Badami enroute we will visit Aihole and Pattadakal, a world heritage site. Evening visit the Badami caves. Overnight stay at Badami

DAY 08 : BADAMI – GOA DROP

Morning proceed to Goa or an option to stay the night enroute at Hubli, in case you find the journey to long.
